Guided by a trauma-informed approach and overseen by our Chief Medical Officer, treatment is comprehensive, evidence-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs throughout their recovery journey.

Our Continuum of Care
Release offers multiple levels of support for substance use (formerly known as addiction) and mental health. Whether you need more structure or are stepping down to less intensive care, our programs are designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward. Treatment is led by licensed clinicians in collaboration with our Chief Medical Officer to ensure personalized and comprehensive support. Our licensed outpatient treatment programs are led by experienced clinicians at our thoughtfully designed facilities in Purchase, New York, and Austin, Texas. We offer multiple levels of care, including Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient Programs (OP) with 12 to 25 hours a week of structured clinical support from our team of experts. Release Recovery Centers is Joint Commission accredited and OASAS-licensed. Release Austin’s Clinic is Joint Commission accredited and licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Release’s Partial Hospitalization Program offers structured treatment in a setting that supports flexibility and real-world transition. Clients have the option to live in our supportive housing. This program is ideal for those who need more structure than outpatient services can offer but do not require round-the-clock residential care.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Release’s Intensive Outpatient Program provides more hours, more oversight, and more clinical support than traditional outpatient care. With a rotating 16-week curriculum, clients focus on emotional regulation, identity, boundaries, relapse prevention, and day-to-day life skills.
- 12 hours of group therapy weekly (Mon–Thurs 9am-12pm)
- One individual session per week
- Family therapy and psychiatric care as needed
- Personalized support planning

Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Release’s Evening Treatment Program is ideal for those transitioning back to work, school, or home life and want to stay connected to consistent support — such as working professionals, full time students, or busy parents.
- Licensed clinicians & Full time Chief Medical Officer
- 9 hours of group therapy weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 6pm-9pm)
- Weekly individual session around your schedule
- Family coordination & therapy as needed
- Medication Management with Chief Medical Officer
Outpatient Program (OP)
Release’s Outpatient Program is ideal for clients who are ready for more independence while staying grounded in consistent care. It includes essential weekly touchpoints designed to maintain progress and prevent relapse.
- Two group sessions per week
- One individual session per week

We accept most major insurance companies for our clinical services, depending on program and location. Our Admissions team will verify your out-of-network insurance benefits to determine coverage, maximize your benefits, and ensure the process is as smooth as possible. Once eligibility is confirmed, they will guide you through the process by conducting a screening, assessing the appropriate level of care, and recommending the best course of action. The price will vary based on Individual’s Out of Network Insurance Benefits. Many plans include out-of-network benefits, which may cover all or part of treatment costs. Our team will help you navigate your coverage and maximize your benefits, making the process as smooth as possible. *Please note that our transitional living program nationwide is not covered by insurance and requires private pay.
