New York City

Three Pillars of the New York City Program
What's included
Wraparound Care
Wraparound Care
As part of engaging in Release’s Programming, we will build out a comprehensive clinical team to best support each client’s personal journey, through our network of New York's top clinicians. All residents are provided with a Case Manager who meets with clients, their clinical providers, and family members regularly, ensuring all aspects of care are cohesive.
Clinical Coordination
Through our network of New York City's leading clinicians and treatment programs, we facilitate referrals for individual therapy, outpatient treatment, specialized behavioral health services, and other clinical supports as needed.
Our Chief Medical Officer is available to provide medical and psychiatric services, including medication management when appropriate. For clients who already have established treatment providers, we work collaboratively to maintain continuity of care throughout their time at Release.
Recovery Coaching
Clients can also opt into more support at the residence with recovery coaching. Recovery Coaching is highly individualized and tailored to each client’s unique goals, strengths, interests, and areas where additional support may be beneficial. This personalized layer of support can include assistance with activities of daily living and independent living skills, routine building, academic support, career and resume development, recovery community integration, and wellness-focused activities.
Aftercare & Alumni Support
Before transitioning out of the program, each client works with their support team to develop a personalized aftercare plan that includes ongoing clinical, medical, vocational, educational, and recovery resources. Our active alumni network helps former clients stay connected to peers, mentors, and staff, providing ongoing support, accountability, and community long after they leave Release.
Structured Transitional Living
Since 2017, our founder has operated transitional living residences, making this our legacy service and the foundation on which Release Recovery was built. While our organization has grown and evolved, our commitment to providing best-in-class transitional living has remained unchanged.
Our program provides structure, accountability, and community support to foster recovery, build vocational and life skills, and promote lasting self-sufficiency. Each client works with a dedicated case manager to develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects their individual recovery, personal, and professional goals.

Men’s Transitional Living
We offer two luxury apartments in Manhattan—one located in the vibrant Flatiron district and the other in the charming heart of Greenwich Village. Both feature private outdoor spaces and are conveniently situated near subway stops, offering easy access to the city’s best attractions. New York City is home to one of the best and most robust recovery communities in the country.

Women’s Transitional Living
Located in a five-story brownstone on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Release Recovery’s Women’s Program offers a safe, warm environment for women navigating addiction and mental health challenges. Our residence combines the comfort of home with access to world-class recovery resources and amenities, including 24/7 in-house support staff and an in-house chef.

Family Involvement
While clients receive one-on-one care and individualized treatment planning, we provide wrap-around services for the entire family system, as well. Families receive regular check-ins from the case management team, and benefit from both peer and clinical support offered through weekly family groups and quarterly family education weekends.
Research shows that the identified client has a higher likelihood of achieving long-term recovery when family members are actively engaged in their own recovery process.
As part of the program, family members learn their own recovery tools, receiving education, therapy, and coaching. There will undoubtedly be ups and downs throughout the journey, so Release offers a number of supports to help you along the way.
